The sharfstein Family

Rabbi Yosef Sharfstein was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He studied Talmud, Jewish Philosophy, and Jewish Law at the Manchester Lubavitch Yeshiva and later at the Rabbinical College of America, where he received his rabbinic ordination. Even from a young age (about 10 years old!) Yosef had a passion for reaching out to others, spending his free time and summer holidays travelling to assist and invigorate Jewish communities around the world.

Yosef enjoys a good game of chess, a friendly informal chat, and will always take you up for a cup of coffee.

Goldie Sharfstein was born and raised down the road in Edgware. She grew up in the vibrant environment of Chabad-Lubavitch of Edgware, where from a young age she took a vital leadership role in its many activities for the Jewish community. After spending two years of advanced Judaic studies in Israel, she returned to become a renowned teacher and educator at the Lubavitch of Edgware educational centre.

Goldie has a passion for education and love for children. She enjoys being creative, sewing, art and graphic design. And most of all, she loves spending time with her adorable children and including them in her community work.
