Tips from the Rabbi

Thing To Do in Isolation

Isolation can be a very frustrating and lonely time. But with the proper mindset, a positive outlook, and the commitment to to make the best of it, it can actually be a tremendous opportunity for growth - as spouses as a family and as a person. Use it as a time to refocus on what really matters to you.

Here are 3 tips:

#1 - Shut off the news

There’s lots of negativity out there. Don’t loose yourself in the news, only check the news to keep yourself updated and safe, more then that is only going to make you more anxious.

#2 - Focus

Spend time focusing on what really matters to you. Focus on and enjoy the bonding time with your spouse/family. Think of something that’s meaningful to you and pursue it, give it all you got, with all the outside competition shut off now’s your chance!

#3 - Grow

Now’s a great time to grow your Jewish knowledge. Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, there is a wealth of opportunities to grow your Jewish knowledge all from the safety of your own home. Here are some favourites, Torahcafe.com is an unmatched library of videos and fascinating talks on almost any topic in Judaism or try Chabad.org for articles on everything and anything Jewish including dealing with Coraonavirus.
